The food and drink sector is awash with an incredible array of family firms. Family Business United has created this new Family Business Food & Drink Index to recognise the sector and the family firms within it and will be producing the inaugural report showcasing the sector and the variety of businesses within it.

 

We are looking to create a buzz around the sector and to highlight some key statistics in the report, generate plenty of noise around the sector and all the great food and drink producers in the index and to showcase some of these businesses in the report as well.

 

We have previously done similar campaigns such as the Scottish Family Business Top 100 and the ongoing Family Business Apprentice Employers Report which have proved successful in amplifying the family business voice and are planning to complete the Family Business Food & Drink Index every two years, in order to celebrate the importance of family firms within the food and drink sector – from growers and farmers to manufacturers and producers.

 

The final Index will be driven by the data supplied, analysed and ranked with weighting to allow all food and drink family firms to be included.
